It was obviously a Google problem all along.

I disagree with those conclusions, as that is not the only (or even the most probable) explanation.

Not a conclusion - a badly worded attempt at sarcasm.

MikeB4: What is this App like on TVs now? There are a few shows we are interested in. It won't allow me to have a free trial as I had an account a while back and at that time it was horrendous to use.

I'd say it's around 80% usable now on Android TV, so yes I can recommend it now.

Looks like we’ve won, folks! Great job to everyone who reported their issues.
I do have to admit, I don’t like the whole screen scrolling down and the selected item being at the very top, it was better being in the middle.

I re-subbed to Neon last week - we shuttle round the services as we tire of the content.

Neon frequently 'stutters', video pauses for a fraction of a second then continues. None of the other SVOD services do this.

Android TV is connected by Ethernet to GB fibre so I think that side is beyond reproach.

Anyone else get this on Neon?

Too much to ask while they are rebuilding an app to click the "support 5.1" multichannel audio option?

Asked Neon about this several years ago, was told it was on their radar

So just checking this still hasn't happened?

What's the resolution/PQ of Neon like?

I see there's a half-price deal at the moment, but I'm still not keen on paying for a service delivering sound formats from last century.

So far, so good. But I’ve only tried the new app for a day. Resolution maxes out at 1080p, can’t remember the exact bitrate, but it is average - not too many compression artifacts from my experience. Of course the lack of surround sound/4k/high bitrate/HDR is still disappointing.

Sound from 3 decades ago, and video from 1.5 decades ago still.

I got it and cancelled within a month, Better quality from the pirate sites so why try to do the right thing and pay?

I'm running the Neon App on my Philips Android TV, it keeps crashing. I uninstall / reinstall and it seems to work for a while (a show), but once I exit out, I can't start the app again. Anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Have you gone into your android settings > apps > neon > force close/clear cache?
