Anyone else noticed the performance of Neon (Android TV) has gone to custard recently?  As in 2-3 second delays before a response to any user input - either browsing the catalog, or using the playback controls.  Video itself is fine.  Used to work no problems not sure what has gone wrong. Running on a Nvidia Shield Pro.  No problems with any other app.

Yep, same issues on latest Chromecast.Re-installed but no improvement.

Well done Sky.  I've posted something on the Neon Facebook page, will see what response there is.  I presume there has been an update that has stuffed things up.

Ive restarted it and the shield.  Haven't reinstalled it but I suppose that is worth a try.

Fixed the problem just in case anyone else encounters this.  I deleted all app data and that seems to have resolved it.

Anyone know on the Neon Android app how to stop autoplay of the next episode? I see a few people on Facebook asking the same question but no reply from Sky.

Same on my MiBox. Restarting sometimes helps, reinstalling helped for a short time, but it's terrible. We're getting it free with 2degrees at the moment but there's no way we'd pay for it with performance this bad.

Getting occasional errors as well, as per below - converted with OCR tool so might not be quite right. I asked them about it on Facebook, they said they'd get back to me... nothing yet.

Hi all,

I am having the exact same issue - a 2-4 second delay after pressing any button for anything to happen on screen. Video can also stutter non-stop with delayed audio - I need to pause the show for a minute to let the app to catch up (internet is not the issue, I have gigabit fibre plugged in with an Ethernet adapter).

No other app has this issue (though the Chromecast with google TV isn't particularly fast in general, I've noticed). I've had this issue since I first got the Chromecast a few months ago and despite numerous OS updates, I've seen no improvement. I've cleared caches, app data, deleted + reinstalled. No luck.

Don't hold your breath, their Apple TV app was horrendous for probably 12-18months and when I queried them, they said something like 'we're working on it, there's no ETA, we're just a small NZ based development team'
