Annoyingly my TV has a matching, only one lonely HDMI port...!

Being ages old now (2006 I think) HDMI was still new then and even one was cool. It's a 40" Samsung Plasma that still has a great picture and cost over $5000 new. Since the picture is still good (apart from the Sky 'pause' symbol burned in one corner...!) we have never yet felt the need to change it.

The heat from the plasma screen is a bit annoying in summer, but the aircon deals with that.

My suggestion would be to use a HDMI switch. I have not looked into them but I assume one could obtain a remote controlled 4x HDMI in/1x HDMi out (saves getting up each time to switch to another input) :)

@theoldfarter - Yes, you can get remote controlled HDMI switches. If you shop around, 4 and 5 input ones aren't that expensive. I have seen them as low as $40.

@Shoes2468 - Apparently you want more than one HDMI output. Theoldfarter's suggestion of an HDMI switch can solve that for you. An HDMI matrix switch with 4 inputs and two outputs are relatively cheap, and you can route any input to either (or both) outputs independently. I got mine from Jaycar about 2 years ago, and it will be a central element of my new setup when I finally get around to completing it.

Yes, I have one from the soon to be defunct DSE. It has 2: I got it when we got a Blu Ray player, then unplugged that and plugged in the Apple TV then realised that I never watch either of those devices and only need one HDMI port for the My Sky really...! surprised

Jaycar also have some good HDMI splitters, including 4k.

Got the update yesterday. Don't find it hard to read which has been a common complaint. I really like that recorded series have been put together instead of having to go through the list to find each episode individually. Worst thing is the new way to delete something you have watched. Previously when you just went to the planner and deleted it but now there is no delete option until the recording has reached the very end. Since recordings tend to overrun (I set them to record 10 minutes extra in case things are running late) I now have to remember to fast forward to end of the recording to get the delete option. Anyone found a way around this yet?

I had that, a mate at work showed me the light. If the video is playing it can't be deleted. Press the Return button, the one with the anti-clockwise arrow, that will take you back to the Planner, give it a couple of seconds or less, and the yellow Delete button pops up

Press the SQUARE button (stop) this stops the programme then you can delete it.

Yes. But then you need to navigate back to the planner, and to locate the title.

use the back button, when its still playing with no other messages/banners on the screen hit the back button and you will end up back in the planner with the episode you just watched highlighted

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
