I used skygo years ago when I was still subscribed to skytv. The online service is a joke, especially when their uk version looks amazing. I find it to be a strategy to keep customers fooled into buying the mysky and hd ticket services, just to watch sports in HD.

@jjnz1 did you buy foxtel go online services only? and how? I know skygo.co.uk has a thing to buy a subscription to their online streams without the TV subscription. It also needed a vpn or something like unotelly to say you were in their country.

Trying to find a good option for the cricket world cup next month. I used Dishworld, but had problems with the software they used to watch stuff with.

jjnz1: Regardless of your experience, please post your ISP and tech (ie Snap VDSL, 2 Degrees 4G Mobile, Orcon Fibre)

Spark VDSL, 48/10 using the spark supplied Technicolor TG589vn v2

no issues except for the extremely small window when not in full screen

Window is correct size for resolution, i.e, 512x288.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

you are meaning the transmitted resolution? what happens when you go to full screen then?

even while downloading and uploading (32mbps down and 8mbps up that was maxing both the downstream and the upstream (both unlimited) with linux iso's) i dont get any buffering even on full screen.

its odd some are and some aren't

Yes, cost around $49AUD per month. Could get two simultaneous connections as well. Was hard, you need an AU credit card, and AU address and if you use it from outside aussie you need a VPN.

I had it because I 'borrowed' a mates credit card and address. And he used one connection and I used one connection so we halved the bill.

Foxtel is awesome because it is designed for online only viewing so it just works, plus it has apps for all platforms.
I used the foxtel app on my Samsung TV, so the user experience was like watching normal TV anyway.

I really only watched music and sport channels, so it suited me fine then. But my mate no longer needs it and I don't want to pay the full $49p/mth. Shame.

I watch Foxtel Go on a Brix hooked up to a 32" Panasonic, picture quality is pretty good but I do get a lot of 'buffering'.
One day I will get a Samsung Smart tv to try it on...
