While the only thing I can confirm right now is Chromecast support, we're in the midst of building multiple new clients that will come online in the next three months. I just can't tell you what they are yet. Rampant speculation is absolutely allowed.

Lightbox - we are online TV.

This will probably give me an excuse to buy a Chromecast!

Where do you guys stand on the Roku? Amazon now ships this directly to NZ (I had to use YouShop a year ago to get mine) so what does that mean for us?

My personal preference would be a MediaPortal plug-in! :-p

But Chromecast I think would be fantastic. (Got one). A good Android App would mean I could put it on my Amazon Fire TV too. (I had a geektastic Christmas).

geeks would love kodi, but lets face it, it will probably never happen.

I wonder how much a package of top shows goes for when they are put up for auction? I'm thinking whomever has the most money at that point is probably going to get the lions share of the NZ streaming market - lets just hope its not Sky or anyone else that doesn't do HD.

I don't believe you will see any one service "win", as we see in the US each service ends up with exclusive content so if you want to see all of the shows you need all of the services.

Personally I'll stick to Amazon, Netflix and Hulu for now but if all the shows I watch become available in NZ in HD on a single device I'll look to change.

You don't need to have them all at the same time, the lack of yearly plans etc means you can have netflix for a month then lightbox for a month etc.  I think that’s why they manage to co exist

No point in chromecast support while only supporting a handful of devices.

I think supporting A set top box would be a great idea.

For the people that don't have a samsung TV - what is their option.

I'd say Chromecasts are a bit beyond joe user, so something like the Roku would be amazing.

Lightbox on TiVo? Hey it doesn't hurt to ask!

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
