Yes F1 has been in 4k for a number of years now, Sky UK uses as part of their dedicated F1 channels on their Q box.  4K is generally an expensive exercise for non-international sports and is only in a select number of sports in limited way; I don't think EPL or other football leagues are in 4K either and neither is UK rugby.

A number of the Champions League matches are shown in 4K on Stan Sport in Australia. As are Wallaby international matches when the source feed enables it. It looks stunning.

Assumption is NO, simply because the live streams are the satellite feeds which are not 4K. Sky also have no intention to run current sat with 4K. Also Sky have no 4K studio or CDN infrastructure to receive and playout.

And the new box rollout will take 3 years, 2023 to 2026. All the older mySky HDi decoders have to be replaced.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Are you sure about that?

When I used to watch F1 on spark you would get direct sky UK feed complete with some ads and commentators plug of how to watch F1 with references to watching on sky F1 ultra including references to watch premiership games on ultra too

During the 2022/23 season, football will be broadcast in 4K HDR on Sky Sports and BT Sport. Both broadcasters show their Premier League games in 4K UHD alongside a selection of matches from other competitions.
