2pm Download Time:
We usually try to download overnight however in this instance with the FIFA World Cup and Tour De France happening in the early hours, it was decided to avoid down-time during live coverage.

The download did take less than 10 minutes and we apologise for inconvenience it may have caused to you.

1/4 Screen Video:
This was one of the most requested features from research undertaken last year amongst our HDi subscribers.  We do understand not everyone will like it, therefore you can turn it off. Instructions in the link below.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Tracey. I'm not sure if this was an oversight, but it doesn't seem to have the current time on the guide anymore? I liked that feature, let me know how far into a show it was an how much I was going to miss? Thanks

Unfortunately this is the only place in the new layout that their wasn't any spare space to include the current time.

QUICK TIP: when in the guide, press the "red" button (switches to the old view which displays the current time). Press the "red" button to return to the new layout.

Hmm mine hasn't been updated. Is it supposed to happen over the air? Or does it need to be hooked up to the Internet somehow?

This upgrade was only for the MYSKY HDi box. If you have an old silver box, you will not have received the upgrade.

For the HDi box, the upgrade was at 2pm and lasted approx 5 mins.  If your box was turned off at the wall, you will not have been upgraded.

Hmm I must have missed it somehow.. although my box was on during that time as far as I know (we never turn it off). Will there be another upgrade period soon?

Given that the "old" MySky silver box users pay the same monthly fees as the HDi owners (apart from the extra $10.00 for HD), I guess we can now expect a discount for the extra features we missed out on?

Give Sky a ring.  I think you will find they can diagnose and fix the problem while you are on the phone.

mines done, actually I like the changes. Thing like the on screen menu now shows whats scheduled for recording and especially when there is a commercial advertising a program just pressing the green button adds it to your record schedule

i received my , my sky up date today i was watching tv and the decoder turned off i was thinking i didn't touch the remote.  then this blue screen came up and it said: UPDATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE
Do not disconnect from mains supply or signal feed. This may take up to ten minutes. after 8 minutes the decoder preformed a warm boot. then the sky decoder began to operate as normal. the only to new features i can see so far is. when you are watching advertisements it comes up with a little note on the side of the screen saying "press green to record" and then the decoder will set it self to record that program in the advertisement shown.  and the other feature is when you press "active" it's got an option called "Upgrade Channel". when you select that channel it takes you to the channel witch shows you new upgrades to sky. This requires your decoder to be connected to a phone line. other then that i don't see anything different as of yet. there may be my features but that's all i know at this time.

have fun

Problem with the new delete confirmation is that I can no longer "accidentally" delete the dross that my kids record :)

Haha - I had exactly the same problem. There is an option somewhere in the settings to turn off the delete confirmation. I can't remember where, but it only took me a minute or so to find it.
