Personally I think there are some really good new features.  I am still waiting for mine to arrive though.  Not sure why they are taking so long to roll it out.  Maybe the early adopters are the beta testers.  Smile

I asked Sky today, since my box hadn't been upgraded yet. Was told all boxes should have the new features by tomorrow at 2 pm.

The new features look ok from the videos I saw online...we'll see what the upgrade comes through.

Some are quite cool actually, some more HD content would be nice though Wink

There's a really good feature on all the new MySkyHDi features on pages 6 and 7 of the latest July 2010 SkyWatch magazine too.

Does anyone know if these updates apply to the old silver MySky boxes or just to HDI?

MY SKY HDi upgrade is scheduled to download at 2pm today. Should take 5-10 minutes.

We hope you will enjoy the new features and happy for you to feedback any comments.

My family called to say ours was just updating, then called back concerned that it seemed to appear as though it was turned off for a while, then it came back on, updated the listings and resumes normal operation. My 4 year old was most concerned.

Tracey

Are you the Geekzone voice for Sky as there are a lot of questions people have raised, not specifically regarding the new features?

Lack of HD content and new channels seems to be the major ones.

If you are then can we be updated on these questions, maybe we can start a new thread?

That is what was expected - it was a new software installing. If your box is turned off at the wall - the box won't be updated.

So who at sky decided 2pm during the school holidays was a good time to update the firmware? Why not do it at 3am or something so our viewing isn't affected?

The features are nice, and while I like the fact you can keep watching while you look at the EPG (like I've been able to on freeview for years now...), who decided to put it up the top? I've got a widescreen tv, now I can only see 5 channels. Is there a way to turn off the preview and go back to the way it was? Minor gripes but I can't see how 2pm is a good time to update...
