Has anyone else noticed the Android app is sometimes unresponsive on startup?  I will go open the app, it will think for a second or two, and then not open.  I have to force stop the app for it to initialize correctly after this. I'm not sure if this is just my phone, or a more wide spread app issue.

Happens to me 9/10 times.  I have to force kill (well, swipe it away), then re-load.

I fear my Twitter thread regarding the streaming quality is a dead-end.  I asked for a follow up and got the obligatory, "Hi there!  Please send us your details, and we'll get right on this for!"

barrypage, you might be our last hope...

Sounds like Sky Sport Now is as good as it gets for the time being. I suspect that any issues are with the compression applied by the platform provider (Endeavor). It does seem to suffer from motion compression blurring and fast-moving small things such as tennis balls are jaggedy,

hello all

A  quick update on one of the questions floating around: (I'll see if I can get to answering some more in the next few days - or seek answers from colleagues)

Upgrades are coming for PS4, Apple TV and Samsung TV to bring more of the features,  and the look and feel from the web/ phone apps to these platforms. These are in final stages of testing now so expect to see them in next few weeks

Also an FYI: A 20% off code BREAKERS20 is currently live and will give 20% off any Sky Sport pass

Whoa, official SSN representation in the forums?!  This is great news, and thanks for sharing that update with us.

I would love an official word on the issue regarding the frame-rate of the SSN streams and why it is seemingly capped at 25fps.  Even if blame sits squarely with Endeavor (as barry.page suspects) it would be good to have an acknowledgement from you or the SSN team so we can stop speculating here in the forums.

Any love for Android TV devices?  With one of the official freeview boxes being based on Android TV surely that makes sense, especially considering its price and therefore market entry compared to an Apple TV?

Ugh, watching tennis @ 25fps isn't very pleasant. Hopefully this can be sorted quickly.

I like the blurring juddering of a cricketers legs as they run up to the crease for a bowl.

I wouldn't get too excited.  If this is a problem with their provider (Endeavor), then who knows if the problem can even be fixed at all?!  Short of changing the entire platform (all apps) to use a different provider (eg. the same one that provides the Sky Go streams), it's possible that we're stuck with 25fps for the foreseeable future.  In any event, I really do hope we can get some closure from an official representative from Sky.
