But seriously, I'd far sooner see Lightbox on TiVo than the current offering. Especially as that would give us Lightbox on three TVs.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Lightbox: While the only thing I can confirm right now is Chromecast support, we're in the midst of building multiple new clients that will come online in the next three months. I just can't tell you what they are yet. Rampant speculation is absolutely allowed.

Ohh.. maybe a new Apple TV box.. and Lightbox is a channel on that

Lightbox: I can confirm that Chromecast support is coming...

Will I be able to control it from my Samsung Nexus 10 tablet (not on your Samsung android list) or my LG Nexus 4 phone?

At this stage you don't have an app for a single device I own (Sony TV & Bluray, xbox 360 & One, Nexus 10&4). Makes it kind of hard for me to give you money...

I was talking to spark support about something unrelated and the support person briefly mentioned that movies and sport were coming to Lightbox soon when the topic of the free Lightbox subscription came up. He didn't mention what exactly but said basically that it's confirmed coming. That's pretty sweet if true. Especially the sport part because I think that might be a first for a VOD service. Has anyone else heard anything?

Dunno about movies, but sport was announced last year. They are doing some kind of partnership with coliseum, the guys behind premier league pass. I'm sure a Google with give you the answers you need.

For the people that don't have a samsung TV - what is their option.

.

Samsung base DVD/BR player with Smarthub seems the cheapest way so far, and user friemdly as there is a Lightbox app

Good to hear chromecast support is coming although it's a little later than I would have hoped.

For the love of god when will the Android app for samsung tablets work properly?  The google play rating is currently 2.5 stars and all the reviews (including mine) complain about crashing.  Even worse when it crashes you loose your place in the episode.  No update in months.  I have a current lightbox subscription but am currently obtaining the latest episode of vikings from some swashbuckling blokes in the caribbean because it's basically unusable via the hdmi out on my tablet.  Not a happy user.

Hi Landcruiserguy,

The current version of the app should remember your position, so you can resume playback?

Any specific situations where you experience crashes? What model are you using?

Lightbox - we are online TV.
