Consul: Oh dear - anyone else having problems with myskyHD? I cannot access my planner with it saying please wait... for ever. Ive reset twice now... Edit : cant record - system fault playback and recording unavailable. Supposed to call. Great update sky

Did you get this resolved?

It happened to me about a month ago.  It is probably a harddrive failure.  Replacement box if it is that.

Yep - hard drive fault as you said. They have replaced it (rang last night and replaced by midday today is pretty good), but not the 3 weeks of programs I recorded for the holidays Cry

And that is why I do not have Mysky...you don't own it and if anything goes wrong you can't keep your recordings as you can't format-shift.

Easy enough to do with a device known as a video stabilizer.

But if you owned it and it crapped out in a few years time the store isn't going to come out to your house and give you another one the next day free, or if the next generation of Sky PVR is released ( like they did 18 months later with HDi ) and give it to you at no cost.
As far as losing recordings off TV, it's not the end of the world is it. Frustrating but not shattering.

I wish there was a way to turn off that annoying press green to record this series reminder. It's already giving me the sh_ts, and i've only been back for three days.

I think you will find that if you press the SELECT button on the MySkyHDi remote control it will go away.  And of course you will have to do it again the next time it shows.  Hopefully the permanent fix will be a user customisable option in the next firmware release.

yeah, that's what I want.  The ability for it to never show up, ever again.
