you need a password that they send you after you finish the survey to log on to the beta site so the link would be a waste of time, sorry guys.

I'm underwhelmed by the beta so far - hardly any of the channels are live streams.  I dont subscribe to movies or sports so all I can watch right now live online is Sky News and maybe a doco channel.

I'm surprised.  They say that you can get:

- Live Sport   (if you're a Sport subscriber with multiroom)
- Live News
- Catch-Up on SKY Basic channels such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Prime and more.  (which by their very nature are not live)
- Movies currently showing on SKY Movies (if you're a Movie subscriber - and as pointed out by someone if you can watch them before they're due to air then clearly they're not live)

So basically you're underwhelmed cos they're delivering to you what they said they would.

for some reason Sky sport 1 is really hard to view, if you click on the bottom icon you get a woman saying it's unavailable but if you click on the scrolling icons at the top sometimes it works, and for some reason this morning the internet stream is 3-4 seconds ahead of the tv feed, on the live sport stream.

I got the email from Sky and signed up for the beta test.  I then was able to watch Sky Sport and was impressed with the quality of the feed.

Of course i forgot to save the URL and now I have no idea what it is, so that was a 5 minute beta test.

Any idea what doco channels? Those are the only ones I'm interested in...

I'm 'set-up' for iSky but I didn't read all the blurb, do I have to subscribe to Sport and multi-room to watch sport on iSky?

I already pay for Sport but have no use for multi-room.  Another strange call by Sky.  Still, I'm sure they've got their reasons for it.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

You'll only have to pay for multi-room if you want the live stuff, it operates the same as the UK system where multi-room gives you live feeds (essentially online is the same as multi-room, even though content is currently less) and normal sky will give you access to the on-demand subscription stuff.

To date I have been unable to watch anything - I understand why I can't watch live sport but CNN, Sky News, allmovies and other free to watch programs return the error 'This content is currently unavailable'

I have literally stripped this machine dry in an effort to get it working but after three different browsers on three different computers on two different networks with different ISP's I think that the issue may be with my account somehow.

After nearly an hour on the phone this afternoon with sky I was politely told that there was no one in iSky to talk to as the service hadn't been launched yet. I politely replied that given I was using the Beta service someone must be in the behind the interface somewhere.

From my point of view, as a Beta service Sky are lacking in that there is no provision for support, or feedback, no instructions, no suggested fixes for 'common' problems. I have sent a detailed email to the general help email addy hoping it will reach someone behind thew scenes in the iSky area who may answer some questions.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone who is successfully using the Beta has an ISP of Telstra or Telecom?

I am on Telstra ADSL via Clear and the other ISP I have tried is Telecom.

Also unable to watch anything as yet because on signing in had forgotten my password and so had it reset but in doing so lost the link to the beta site.

Received a survey tonight asking about my experience with the beta service so far but could not answer most of the questions as I have not been able to try anything.

Anybody know how to get the link to the beta site?

You may want to try contacting http://www.geekzone.co.nz/user_public.asp?user_id=56908
She was previously Sky's spokesperson on this site (and for social networks in general) and is up to her proverbial neck in S*i* ^H^H^H iSky.

I should point out that in doing so, you are unlikely to receive any technical assistance, but it would be an appropriate way to provide feedback on your experience in the absence of any established channels.
