You need to login with TV code which you can get when you sign into the website with your Sky Sport Now login.

I've emailed Sky Support as the issue keeps happening.

It works fine and then some time later it buffers and quality rarely reaches the quality it was beforehand. Seems like an issue either with 2Deg routing, or SSN app or servers.

i have the same issue on apple tv and spark. watching the cricket a few days ago and there was no issues. i’m currently trying to watch the bathurst coverage now and it’s constantly buffering or dropping its adaptive quality. i have no issues with any other service i stream through apple tv

Also why I too went back to satellite last week so I could enjoy this weekend.

It’s a conspiracy……😂

And I got offered a $1 a day deal. Too good to turn down.

I've quite enjoyed the EPL on Spark, and given how poor the PQ is on SSN, I hope this is addressed ahead of next season commencing.

Perhaps the quality has improved, last time I saw Spark Sport was the RWC and I thought it was crap.

I don't use SSN but find regular Sky picture quality to be very acceptable.

Ah bugger, another sub will be required... well at least now I'll have a reason to have Sky Sports and therefore be able to watch the Phoenix play.

Regular Sky is fine, but when I last had SSN (instead of Sky TV) the frame rate used to be horrible.  I know its been discussed here before, but we shall see.  PQ on Spark has been excellent IMO.

Wonder if we can get the 4K feeds that the UK has for the footy, that would be nice.

Unlikely, Sky have no 4K playout ability and as yet no 4K decoder. I think it will be 2025 before you see 4K from Sky, after sat shift and outside broadcast upgrade. SSN, as I remember it, is unfit for HD let alone 4K.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Not Sky NZ but Sky UK has 4K streams; the Sky Q system delivers the feed over the internet.  I'd imagine we would only get 1080p stuff but its possible that they offer two different quality types given their moving to OTA & digital delivery with their new appliances in the next year or so.

Last time I saw a SSN PQ, it was still average. Sky GO via a Chromecast is a better pic that SSN, which is incredible when you think about it. I don't see unless SKY make some changes, their offering will compare to Sparks, who have excellent PQ, and a good platform for on demand, ability to join a game mid way through or at the start etc.

Sky will need to make a true effort at improving their streaming option, if you have Sky set top box, you'll be fine, but if you're a streamer this isn't great news.
