Stu1: I see sky sport has yearly deal 365 until the 10th does this mean they are looking at cutting deals on the product and focusing on the new product?

Weird. If you put it in your cart it quotes $0.00. Good deal if anyone wants a month free

Nah mate
Itll say $0 due today, then at the completion of your one week trial you would get charged $365 for the full years service

Good to know but interested to see how they are going to do on demand "on Sky." Or will I be required to pay out for Sky Sport Now in addition to already having Sky Sport?

You do realise sky sport on satellite decoders already have "on demand" for shows, movies and sport right? Just need to connect the box to Ethernet

At least thats what mine has had for the last 4 years

I have downloaded a few things but it appears to be SD only and is a terrible watch.

I imagine Sky Sport are saying that the games will be on-demand on both Skygo (currently every NRL game is) and SkySportNow

I used the chat function on the website, but I didn't seem to get across to the person, they kept asking what TV I was using and that my subscription ends in 2023.

I've tweeted Sky directly to ask them ... maybe that will shed some light on the topic.

I just started the 7 day trial on skysportsnow. I find the images of the players watching nrl games a bit blurry compared to the satellite box I have been using and not that enjoyable to watch.

Can some long term skysportsnow users let me know if that is normal?

Do I need to adjust any tv settings to improve?

I’m watching on a 2021 Panasonic 65 JX950Z which is a UHD 4K LED

If the images are always like this it will be  a very short trial and the set top box will live on.

Thanks in advance.

If you read through the last 10-15 pages on this thread I think you'll find thats normal (From someone that ditched SSN for Satellite)

Skysportnow is launching a new platform soon. Might fix it.

Thanks JPNZ. I did read some of the post around image quality…I’m not that lazy. Just a bit hard to get a read on what everyone’s tv and internet equipment and geographic location is and if that was a factor.

I also thought I read somewhere on here that sky was or had improved the SSN product.

It sounds like streaming is dreaming for good quality sports with sky. Shame it can’t replicate satellite quality which really should be a basic target.

thanks for letting me know

Pleasantly surprised that for the second year in a row, Sky have honoured my existing annual pass price of $299.

Last year they sent us a note saying they would, not sure if my wife got one or not this time.

At $25 per month for all of their sports channels, it's pretty good value, even if the Android TV is still basic (for the next few weeks at least)

Nice price. I’d be happy paying the current $365 annual pass deal but would expect the quality to be comparable to satellite.

I bought some sky shares when they where cheap 0.13cents as a speculative buy to make some beer money…but as soon as they announce what there doing with all the cash their sittting on I will be selling.

I love watching sky sport but I hate the company. I find them univestible as a business.

Terrible service, lack of knowledge of customer service, terrible board of directors and corporate comms. the fact that they still charging you $299 is not good if your a shareholder…shonky pricing strategy between new and existing customers

Interesting that the Wallabies vs England Rugby tests is broadcast in 4K on Stan tv.

I wonder if SS will upgrade.

What is happening in next few weeks on SSN. I would contact sky to ask but having dealt with them twice in the last 2 weeks and being told you have to wait 10 days for a reply because there busy…it’s quicker to ask knowledgeable people on this site.
