Has any one seen any sign of the new update?

Or is it another time sky fail to deliver something on time?

I must say I'm very nervous they are going to fail to deliver to the extent of coverage of the Premier league that spark put out
Eg pre game, half time, post game analysis

It started rocky and apart from a few outage issues every now and then, by the end sparks coverage was pretty dam good

On that note I got an email from Sky last week. "From 14 July Sky Sport 8 is now Sky Sport Premier League, we are bringing you all 380 matches live and on demand . Most of the action will be on Sky Sport Premier League and when matches are played concurrently we will have coverage on other channels."

Given that there was no "year" on the date on the FAQ, and it's disappeared completely, I've given up on there ever being an update.

It might be fine and they take packages streams. The spark ones were the same as Optus in AU, Optus was better as they had more mini matches. Guess cross our fingers and hopefully it’s a good product

Thoughts on the SSN quality lately?

I'm not sure if they have thrown a few more kbps at the encoder of what, but watching replay of the warriors, then the T20 this morning things are looking good.

Couple of frame issues where the ball is in flight on a busy background, but I'm never sure if my tv motion processing is getting in the way there either.

I was watching the Indycar reply not that long ago and that looked much better than the footy last week, smoother motion and looked good... will see if its improved with the EPL motion when the next game is played... However the UI is terrible and needs a complete revamp.

I noticed last night that there was a new version of the app available on my Sony Android tv. Installed but without a current pass can't do much - can't even view the guide! Release notes do say you can play from the start now.

The new SSN app installed on my Chromecast google tv last night. Somehow it seems to be worse than before. No content available at all even though I logged in with my subscription. I’ll check again today….

On my Sony TV I can see the app has an update date of 17/8 so I uninstalled and re installed but don't notice any changes. Definitely no watch from start option.

Mine definitely has a new look and feel to it, but looks unfinished. The icon is now light blue. I’ll try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Yeah, it feels like as a work in progress to me too.

Hope they increase the txt size on some of the menu and guides.

Just seems a little out of focus at times. Like when you open the side menu while playing live tv for example.

Even on a large screen I’m finding it a little hard to read.

What’s the little icon that looks like play icon next to the Sky Sport logo mean?

I think it lets themtell the source of any internet based recordings.

From memory, I think Sky Go has the same, but with the semi circular / wifi things going both directions?  (or maybe they want to use it like the pub / pint glass logo in the UK to see who has commercial sky)

It looks like the Play Store has been updated.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.co.skytv.fanpass.ced&hl=en_NZ&gl=US

Anyone able to get an APK to sideload? Philips TV's cannot install this from the Play Store for some reason.
