Getting a bit of stuttering on watch some replays last night when it was upgraded, and they have removed the guide form the watch screen, so can't flick between channels)

They made the choice if you start watching something, they will start playing from the start of the program, then press the button to get to live, which again is not great for channel surfing, but saves you seeing the score near he end of the game you are about to watch. (conflicted here, a choice would be good ala Spark Sport)

I also note there were 13 'live' events - if by live they mean playing out replays & highlights :)

Some parts good, some parts bad.
See how it handles the rugby this weekend

edit: login from mobile for the tv app is so much better (although curiously, they didn't spring for  either a new short domain to type in - or showing a QR code on the screen, first world problems I know) I can now go back to using a decent password, as their android tv app didn't allow the use of my phone keyboard.

(same as spark too, think they possibly had the same UX devs)

The new UI is quite pretty but it does cause some performance issues on Apple TV.

I think the text size on the guide could be bigger. It’s hard to read on a small tv from distance.

I like the on screen schedule feature on the iPhone and on iPad. It’s a shame this wasn’t implemented the same way on the Apple TV app and the Android TV (Sony) app.
On the iPhone and iPad you can look at the schedule for all channels. You can also swap between channels. But on the Apple TV and Android TV apps only the schedule for the current channel is displayed with no way to swap channels.

I must say my Samsung TV has finally updated and it is a bit clunky but that is expected on the day of launch

The picture quality framerate is still a bit dissapointing but i am happy to say my home theater is automatically picking up and going to 5.1 dolby digital which is a nice surprise

It's never done that with the old app and sounds alot nicer even if it is just watching a replay of the cricket from yesterday

I'm still on the MySky box and it's still hard to beat. Watch, pause to pour coffee, play fast forward at half time. Press Sky to go live - all very simple. I'll be buying the new box after it's been launched by a few months when all bugs have been fixed.

Will still have to sort out my android tablet when travelling.

Yep agree with this. I'm hoping the new Sky box adds in a bunch more on-demand features directly on the box.

I can't watch anything as its all locked and asking me to buy another pass when I last paid for on July 28

Did you manage to sign in?  On the Apple TV, one needs to go to the "person" on the top right menu, then in the bottom left is a "sign in" button.

On the iPad, it's better, it's on the left hand hamburger menu, at the bottom is "sign in".

I'll admit that it would've been a nicer experience had the app offered to sign one up (or in) instead of the generic "Something went wrong" message.

Just seen the new Android TV interface.  Its still as clumsy as before.  Whilst Spark SPort had its issues early on, its UI is much better with the sports laid out well and categories (e.g. replays, highlights etc.) sorted much better. Sky stil have some way to go.

When I try to play a program from the guide that is older (less than 24 hours) the broadcast starts from the beginning of the current live program not the program I selected.

This is happening on AppleTV and the Android TV app.

When I do the same thing on my iPhone it plays the program I selected correctly.

SSN live chat:   The replay issue has been reported to our developers and is currently under investigation

Me: Is there a website I can visit that shows all current known issues?

SSN live chat:   No we don’t have a website like that

Same happens when casting to a chromecast.

Selecting a replay from the home screen plays - but is so jittery as to be unwatchable. Oddly live TV seems to play fine. It's almost like they have cobbled together two different video players.

This is looking ominous to me ... a half baked release that is going to take weeks to sort out.

At this point I have no way of watching a replay on my TV. And given I only have it to watch EPL replays on my TV, it is now useless.

On an Apple TV attached to fibre the new app seems to provide a better picture than the old app.

It's an odd choice to label everything currently on as being "Live" given the connotation of the word in a live sport context.

I guess we'll see how it holds up when the ABs play Los Pumas at the weekend.

Pleased to see it plays the current programme from the start with the skip to live feature available immediately now rather than having to avert eyes from the score while rewinding.

Big picture quality improvement though so that's a great start.
