At least 1 Super Rugby game to be in 4K each week, plus NRL and football. Also good to see F1 and EPL included.

Also some comments in the article about the lack of HDR.

Watching on a new model Hisense 65" QLED with the latest firestick as a streaming device. Considerable difference between the UHD channel and the regular SS1 feed in terms of quality. The lack of HDR component to it feels a bit off though.

Watching the DAZN HDR feed of Sunday night football each week. Felt like a significantly better quality. Despite being a 1080p HDR feed

I thought the Chiefs vs Blues game looked great on SSN Saturday night.
So did the Highlanders/Crusaders and the NRL All Stars - but i think those two were just upscaled.
Is there any way to see what the upcoming 4k games are? There was that Herald article that gave a brief preview, but I'm hoping for a weekly list or something that SKY update.

I'd be interested to know this as well, looking at the online TV guide it doesnt even show the UHD chans.

Do you have a Box or Puck? I had read they were upscaling a lot of HD sport content as well.

I have only casually seen it and it seemed to continue the tradition of looking like when you have the gamma too high when gaming. I think that is what the hdr services do better. I guess that sky are tone mapping it aggressively as their target customer is probably a pub with the TV washed out with other lights in the room.

Hope your back   lights last.  Have seen some bad post  in the UK from people who repair TVs being unable to fix them due to the screen and back panels being glued together.

Just watching the first broadcast of the year of Supercars. The commentator mentioned they have a new broadcast setup incl filming in 4K.

Have msg’ed Sky with the obvious question, suspect the answer will be no

Id suspect given it's on the select channel currently. I'd say the answer is no haha. I asked if they had a current list of events that will be coming up 4K UHD. And they just replied that the whole channel is 4K. So just keep an eye on the sky guide ... They really aren't doing their best to sell the UHD side of things

They just replied to me that some Supercars events will be in 4K, but I have a feeling they might not of understood the question

Super disappointed supercars not in 4k. All the commentary is about 4k but it looks like only foxtel / kayo getting it.

It's even on a sky sport select channel tonight.

Not sure if there is something wrong with a setting on my TV but red/pink bright colours are jittery on the cars at speed. Especially tail lights. On SSN app on Hisense mini led screen

Okay. Not ideal but under sports on the sky box there is a section for live and upcoming 4K UHD.

Chiefs v Crusaders 28.2.26

Warriors v Roosters 6.3.26

Blues v Crusaders 7.3.26

V8 Supercars Melbourne 8.3.26

FIA F1 Australia 8.3.26

they are probally at the will of the host broadcaster and the host broadcasters production contractor.

i.e. The company on the ground filming using UHD cameras and production equipment and host broadcasters ability to then provide a UHD feed to sky nz.   Of course….skys willingness to just stump up cash for the service if it’s an option……. As with anything…you wait until it’s dropped price unless it’s really important to the situation or cause to just stump up cash.

Complete speculation but looking at the location of those NZ sports events (Ak/Ham) perhaps there is only one 4K outside broadcasting truck based around Auckland
