That is great news, I tested on the platforms trial content, but it was a bit hard to tell (looked better on android tv but not pc). Will pick up a week pass for the next f1 race and compare with sky go.

Interested to hear your thoughts once tested. After november and my 25% discount ends for Satellite, I may have to go back to SSN

I just noticed that the frame rate on Sky Sport Now seems to be fixed, on all streaming channels. On 2017 Panasonic smart TV, Apple TV, and DishTV A7070.

Which is great news! Well done Sky. I am definitely not getting one of their new boxes now.

Seriously? No longer a juddery 25FPS mess? Great news if true.

Looks to be the same here. Bloody stoked! Hopefully this keeps up!

I decided to give it a go on my Apple TV as well. Yep, I can confirm, frame rate is excellent now. This is great news! Credit where credit due, it took a few years, but this is now great. And excellent timing as I’ve just dumped Sky Satellite after a couple of decades as a subscriber. Good work Sky.

They still need to fix navigation on the Apple TV. Is really jerky. Mine is latest
Model and still hard to navigate.

Picture quality is great now though.

Yeah the UX is a bit funky, never felt an Apple TV app feel like this before, but I’m happy with watchable picture quality to start with! 😊

The way you scroll across the ‘sports’ and the position changes is really bizarre, too.

It is. I think they fix that it will be a lot better. The top navigation suffers the same problem.

Do they have proper on-demand full replays or is it still just a 24hr rewind on the guide? Having used Kayo for the last few years I don't think I could go back to a sports streaming service that didn't provide full replays on demand.

This is the question I want answered before I ditch my satellite (with legacy box which I paid for upfront).

IMHO I feel SSN was intentionaly restricted as it will cause peeps to ditch satellite. Im feeling now that Sky has decided that it needs as many subscribers as possible, no matter how. With the new Sky Box (satellite as well as streaming) they may see a need to wind down dish feeds. The ads ive seen on Sky show me its basically SkyGo. Sky Sport Now is terrible, now its not.

I will evaluate. I watch History , Earth etc, doco channels as well as sport which is my key watch. Recording well and truly works for me. Streaming IF there were replays is a no brainer, "IF" they were always there

There are full replays available on the home screen or by clicking on the chosen sport.
However, they take a couple hours to become available, and they are only for the more popular teams/sports ie EPL, NRL, Super Rugby, Phoenix, Breakers. Everything else needs to be accessed via the 24hr rewind

Cheers for that, then I will stick with what I have for now.

I have slammed SSN for it's poor pic quality and it was a hell of a surprise when I watched the A-League the other week and was immediately struck by the difference, look forward to watching some cricket, as that's been a tough watch at times. So kudos finally to Sky for sorting that.

The one thing I wish they'd change is the 30secs forward and backwards, if you want to rewind and watch a piece of play or something you missed, 30secs is way too long, no idea why they dont have it at the standard 10secs...

The quality has massively improved which is fantastic, they just need to sort out the Google TV interface as it doesn't work well enough compared to Spark Sport and still has issues unless you manually exit the app... seems like the UX team have not had the same level of priority as the streaming content itself which kinda makes sense but unless the app is well laid out and works, the content becomes hidden which defeats the point.
