Coincidence, or...?

I guess they could have made it a week before or a week after...  End of the day, the globe is in an inflation period, so costs get passed on. Even if there was no inflation period, there is always some inflation so prices get added on. If its Sky or your Telco it makes the news. If its an air fryer you won't notice it as its not in the news, its on the price tag which many of us just accept.

Well that's a big middle finger to the folks of Aotearoa. What an aweful company.

If Sky spent half the time on developing and supporting quality products that they do on finding any reason for a price hike then they'd be on to something.

I'd have no problem paying these prices for a product that streams at 1080p50 with a decent kbps. No way in hell I'd pay those prices to watch a blocky and pixelated pitch when watching NRL.

Thanks for that. I watch sport, and with golf that could be hours or days later. if ALL sport was catchup I could be interested, but I will stick to what "just works"

Others YMMV

I also watch the golf, but I very rarely watch something days later. Often I will watch the final round of the golf on a Monday night when I get home from work. If I haven't watched it by then I will just catch some highlights on Youtube.

I also had a look around the SSN website and it looks like the final round of most tournaments meet the criteria for a full on demand replay. That's all I would need as I would never go back and watch round 2/3 after the final round has been played.

Hi, did you ever find out if you could watch the golf on demand?
I have also put my Kayo in limbo, I trialed SSN sometime last year, and today clicked on the app and had prices of roughly $12 one week, $20 something/month & $220/year.
Is that some sort of special deal as I had it on trial earlier, seems almost about half the going rate.
Worthwhile ??

Only within 24hrs of it being streamed live. There's the 24hr rewind via the guide and no other way to watch it "on demand".

I'm seriously thinking about going to SSN now for a year before the increase the prices next year. Kayo keep taking down the DNS4Me servers that I just can't rely on it. When I wake up in the morning and go to put the golf it's a lottery if it will work or not. Even now Kayo has been off-line since Thursday night and still not back up. The guys at DNS4Me do a great job but every time they stand up a new server it just gets taken down again.

Your prices don't seem right. The annual pass now id $399 going up to $449 next week on the 1st July.

Use code SEARLEY10 and it makes it $360

I would have thought the prices were wrong, but.

That's weird, it even has the new pricing of $449 after 1st July.

I've said this before but without being able to test it I do believe that SSN has a slightly better image quality over Kayo. They are either streaming at a slightly higher bit rate or are using a more efficient compression algorithm. Its not perfect and still has the pixelation especially when panning across green grass but it does look better to my eyes.

Couldn't replicate it on PC or Android, so I wonder if it's an Apple/Apple TV glitch?

The monthly price is wrong too. Is your Apple Store in USD?

Just tried with my AppleTV and the price is $399.

Hmm, might have to make my own DNS4ME type server in AU...

Yeah - went to watch the F1 on Kayo in the weekend and couldn't!

Kayo has now gone as an available service on DNS4ME.
