DjShadow:

I brought a SSN pass today for Bathurst (first time since 2023) and I believe the picture quality is much better than I remember from last time, it’s been comparable to what Satellite offers. Also noticed the little “play” icon next to the Sky Sport logo isn’t there so wondering if they are using the same stream as what Sky Pod gets?

Only had 1 time earlier this morning I needed to restart the stream, has been solid all day.

Using the Apple TV app.

Yeah but notice how anything older than 1 day in the programme guide can no longer be played?

Just incase you've missed it - They are doing a Black Friday sale.

Buy a year for $399 instead of the usual $550 it is now.

Use code BLACKFRIDAY25

I already have a year expiring in March next year but I emailed them and you can view your existing subscription on the web (Not in app) and apply a code to your current plan and it will renew at the discounted rate.

It looks good but I've screen shot the message saying it'll renew at $150 off and also kept the email from sky incase they bill me the whole $550 :)

Just to clarify: Your annual subscription must be set to auto-renew.  If not, you need first to 'reactivate'.  You will now be able to enter the code BLACKFRIDAY25 and your subscription will show as '$150.00 off' renewal when the current subscription expires.  Note the wording used.

Thanks OG - Good to know. I have mine set to auto renew but I put reminder in my calendar when these things are coming up so I can decide if I'll stop for a month or two depending on whats happening in the world of Rugby.

But if you stop for a month or two won't you lose the Black Friday offer?

The offer expires 03 Dec (from memory), but I think if you add it in your current subscription it takes the code into account when your current sub expires whenever that might be

Yep, but if you stop for a month or two after it expires, then the code won't be kept until if and when you decide to start a new subscription, right?

The Black Friday code is only applicable to the annual pass. You can't stop for a month or two.

Has anyone managed to install the SSN app on a Nvidia Shield?  It doesn't appear in the app store for me.  Thanks.

Yep. I've got it on my Shield Pro in the garage. It shows on the play store for me.

I think I had to side load it when I did it many years ago. I also couldn’t find it in the play store.

My wife really likes the Olympic Games be it the Summer or Winter versions. We subscribed to Sky Sport Now to watch it and by all the Gods in Asgard why is it so bad. Every time we try watch we get buffering. We restart and buffering again, eventually it will start playing. If we make the mistake of changing to a different event to watch get, wait for it .............. buffering. We have tried using the App on our TV (LG), or Apple TV or Google TV Streamer the same terrible experience. We have tried Wifi and wired Ethernet, same experience. Rebooted our network and the same result.

I know its Sky and they really like to *&%$ their customers and I guess its my fault for subscribing to their con.  I will finish my rant now.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I had the same problem with my LG TV. I wrote many emails to their help desk and they told me it was the software version of the hardware on the tv (not the LG app) but I gave the latest software I can find anywhere. I had the problem where it also stuttered while playing. No other apps have this issue and I did everything you described. It is singularly the worst, slowest experience of anything I use... And that's pretty much everything. Only suggestion I could give is using a browser which seemed to fix my stuttering but it's not supported by sky so they wouldn' help with that at all.
