MikeB4:

My wife really likes the Olympic Games be it the Summer or Winter versions. We subscribed to Sky Sport Now to watch it and by all the Gods in Asgard why is it so bad. Every time we try watch we get buffering. We restart and buffering again, eventually it will start playing. If we make the mistake of changing to a different event to watch get, wait for it .............. buffering. We have tried using the App on our TV (LG), or Apple TV or Google TV Streamer the same terrible experience. We have tried Wifi and wired Ethernet, same experience. Rebooted our network and the same result.

I know its Sky and they really like to *&%$ their customers and I guess its my fault for subscribing to their con.  I will finish my rant now.

I watch it on a Wifi Apple TV 4th gen and its incredibly rare I get a glitch watching Rugby but thats all I watch. Haven't tried the Olympics but I'll give it a crack.
I am on wifi but I have "enterprise" grade wifi and the closest access point is 4m away.

I also watch on a Google TV device plugged into HDMI and thats as good as the Apple TV but the TV's built in Google TV is rubbish - Basically I think its just crap built in wifi as the Google interface is a little faster on the TV but its wifi is garbage. (just edited this as what I had typed was giberish)

Its interesting your experience is so bad but it could be an uptick of customers for the Olympics and Sky not preparing for the user growth at all.

Been watching a lot of sky sports now recently, on both Google TV streaming dongle, Google TV projector and via browser in windows and have had very few issues.

Some Sky Sport Now customers get a refund due to a "processing error".
