Hi guys,  I know this has been asked before but I need to know what I specifically need to buy.  What I want:

1. Watch SKY in HD in two different rooms from one HDi box.
2. Be able to change channels in both rooms (ie watch two different channels at the same time)

The decoder is in one of the rooms (lounge) so you can already change channels using the sky remote.  I have a HDMI splitter and a 30m HDMI cable specifically for the other room (bedroom).  Ive tested this cable and the quality has not hindered.  So I've basically solved my first problem.

I want to change channels in the other room as well. I've done a little research which most results showed a magic eye is needed for this. I have a RF wall plate which actually leads into the bedroom.

What more is needed?

If you are wanting to watch different channels in different rooms then you need multi-room (ie a second decoder). The MySky decoders can record multiple channels at once, but I believe they only output one at a time. (I could be wrong)

Yeah, that only outputs one at a time but I'm trying to find an alternative to paying $25/m for multiroom and another $15/m for another HDi box

Of course it can, it just can't and won't be discussed on public forums.
