Hi,

I have an old satellite receiver here (Pace DSR620-GM) which is currently picking up a whopping two channels, Prime and "Preview". The box has Sky firmware on it. Is there a way to add more channels, such as the Freeview channels? I've had a look through the menus but can't find much; is there a "secret" menu somewhere? Or is it possible to flash generic firmware onto it?

So this is an old sky box, and you dont have a current subscription?

Its owned by them, and has firmware from them, so i doubt that you'll be able to use it as a regular freeview satellite box unfortunately

I've never had a subscription; I bought the box several years ago through the "Prime-only" service; a one-off fee for a dish and receiver. It's mine, not Sky's. If the firmware can't be reflashed then so be it; it's been gathering dust for a couple of years and I was just wondering whether it was worth doing anything with it.
