Went to use my MySkyHDi this morning and every time I try to change channel it briefly comes up with a placard saying"sorry, channel not available". Then the channel starts. Additionally none of the TVNZchannels (1, 2 and U) are available at all.
There must have been a firmware update overnight because the MySky was on the preview channel when started this morning. Sky have an automated message on their helpline saying they are experiencing difficulties with the mysky units. I didn't bother hanging on the line for an explanation. If anybody did can they shed some lightand possibly a timescale?
Our Sky digital box is unaffected

Edit: fixed typo

Interesting.

Mine would not change to TV1 last night when I got home - I got the Rain Fade message. All other channels that I tried (went up to 13) were fine.

I red button reset it and when it came back up all was fine.

yep. Did the red button reset, full power off and card removal. I always do before picking up the phone to Sky. The update must have broken something. Hopefully they can fix it or at least roll it back to the old firmware.

Looks like I'm having the same problem. I emailed them using the Customer Support link on their Facebook page advising I'd already done a soft reset with the red button...and got a reply 5 minutes later from a rep asking me to do a soft reset Undecided

Hopefully it'll be fixed soon

Around 30,000 Sky Television customers have been affected by a software glitch involving MySky decoders.

The fault occurred about 4pm yesterday and resulted in some viewers losing access to all channels until about 8pm.

Other subscribers lost some or all access to free-to-air channels, not including Prime, or access to high definition viewing, both on pay and free-to-air channels.

The latter problem had persisted throughout today but would be fixed by 6pm today, Sky spokeswoman Kirsty Way said.

The problem could also be solved by switching the decoder off and disconnecting it from the power source for a few minutes.

Subscribers could also call the Sky support office if problems persisted.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers," Way said.

The glitch occurred when Sky undertook a routine billing update for pay-per-view customers yesterday, she said

Didn't affect my HTPC at all :)
