Does anyone know if Sky will be showing True Blood season 5 on Soho in the next few weeks?

True Blood was one of the big show names they used to promote Soho when it launched. Season 5 starts airing in the states on the 10th of June. I'm hoping Soho will be showing it with no more than a week or two delay from the US broadcast, like they're currently doing with Game Of Thrones season 2. I'd rather not have to download it.

Anyone heard anything?

SKy have confirmed that they will screen the new season of True Blood on Prime shortly and will not screen this series on Soho until much later this year

I am really annoyed about this and I definitely won't be watching the crappy SD version of this series on Prime.  I will probably buy the series on blu ray rather than watch on Soho also.

If Sky insist on screening this series on Prime first, at the very least it should be in HD in this day and age. Same goes for Doctor Who also.

Thats annoying. I'll get it elsewhere. I'm not watching it in SD, and not waiting months to see it on Soho.

I'm starting to question if I really need Soho. I'm not watching it as much as I originally anticipated.

My opinion is that Soho will eventually fizzle out. It was launched on the back of "Game of Thrones" and not much else.

( I prefer to rent the bluray of the best shows, there are not that many top tier shows anyway).

So much for soho being the channel to launch programs close to the release date in America.
I'm sure that's the line they launched it on, what a sham.

Keep while game of thrones on, then that'll do it, except for the killing, nothing else i'm watching on it.

The Sky tv person in the article doesn't appear to say which rights issue prevents them from showing the shows simultaneously on Prime in SD and SOHO in HD?

Maybe they're having trouble securing pay TV rights to play it?  It'd kinda serve them right after all the issues Quikflix has with getting streaming rights.

Soho will be dropped from my account next Tuesday.
Game of thrones was the only reason I got it, and even then then picture is not that great for a premium HD show.
