I just recently upgraded to myski hdi and it connects to my tv by an hdmi cable.  Prior to upgrading I was able to watch sky on my imac via eyetv 250 plus.  Since upgrading I have a number of new channels (freeview) but I don't have sky.  Any thoughts on how to get sky back on my computer, is it due to the fact that sky now goes through to the tv via an hdmi cable?

Thanks

Russell

With mysky, the signal goes via HDMI rather than bundled up into an RF (TV aerial type) cable with the free to air channels. The mysky doesnt have a RF output, so the quickest and easiest way to get your functionality back is to get a RCA composite cable (3x RCA jacks - Yellow, Red, White) which you can run between the Mysky and Eyetv. Its all colour coded, so just match the colours and you should be away laughing.

Thanks for that, I see where you can use the rca cables on the myski but my eyetv is just a small white box.  Will look around for how to connect the other ends of the rca cables to eyetv.

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a replacement cable from?

Do you mean the cable that comes out of the eyetv box to give you RCA connections? This may be difficult to source.

This auction has a cable that *looks* like it would do the job, however it may have different wiring internally, so may not work. Buy at your own risk
