Hi,

Just a quick question....

Can you watch replays, starting at your desired viewing time, of past sporting events on iSKY?

ie can I watch a replay of the F1 race (that was live at midnight) the next morning at say 7am?

From a brief look I had a while back, iSKY has all 3 SKY sports channels live, regardless of you having multiroom now.

Just thought I'd check those setups, as it may be a viable alternative to MySky for some sporting events.

Thanks.

I saw the All Blacks - Ireland game on the front page yesterday so they are definitely repeating some sporting events. It may be a bit hit and miss though.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Unfortunately for motorsport events like F1 they don't do full coverage replays on the 'catchup' channel of iSky, only a half hour highlights package.  So no watching the whole thing over breakfast the next morning :(

Record it on MySky and watch it at whatever time you want.

$$$$ up front and quit moaning.

Thank you for that insightful response.  No one is moaning, they're just asking a question.
Thanks to the others who have answered with detail.

So it seems there are on demand type replays of some events, and others are either not there or are highlights packages.

Are all 3 Sky Sport channels available at all times for live viewing?

Thanks.

Your theme in relation to watching F1 and Sky has been consistent in more than one thread.

Try giving up something you love (like cigarettes or beer) and save yourself $3 a day and put that towards getting Sky Sport.

You will then be able to watch F1 to your heart's content. Smile

What! Give up beer? Are you mad? Laughing

Sky lost my sports subscription this year when they decided to only play the BBC audio feed which goes to dead audio during several of the sessions. I couldn't justify spending nearly $20 per race either to watch it in HD.

There are other less desirable options (lower quality or not live) available so I'm seeing if I can make those work this season. I wish I could give them some money, but in this particular case their pricing model pisses me off too much.

I have no issue with them pricing stuff as befits a single provider of content. The optimal pricing for them is set so high that a few people actually cancel the service even though they want it - any lower and they are leaving money on the table.

I wish it was cheaper but understand that's not how they roll... Whining won't fix it - only a significant portion of people cancelling their service will fix it... I've done my bit.

Cheers - N

Once again, thank you for your detailed input on the content of the iSky online service.

Are all the main 3 Sky Sports channels represented/available live on iSky?

Thanks.

Great, thanks for clearing that one up.

For some that's definitely a viable option to the multiroom cost.  Especially now most providers have upped their package monthly data allowances.

Just be aware that currently only one iSky login per account is possible at any one time, (at least it was last I tried!) so no watching two iSky channels at the same time.

Also, all the major ISPs, except Telecom, have unmetered access to iSky so doesn't use any data allowance.

Have you thought you may be able to 'record' the live F1 stream and watch in the morning?

Jaxson,

Where in NZ do you live?

Wellington?

You are more than welcome to come around home and watch the F1 races live if you wish?

I record and burn to DVD (although not in HD Frown ) each and every race. Can easliy burn off an additional disc if you want one Wink

Non-Sport catch-up content is the full episode/movie

Sport catch-up content is a highlights package - what is shown on the Highlights channel.
