Watching the new fast four shows tonight on a myskyhd. The quality was shocking. Massive blocking and artifacting.

Is it just me? Is it just via sky? Or is freeview seeing the same?

Lots of changes recently with frequency moves etc. last week any fast forwarding of a four show caused the box to crash.

Any others experiencing this?

I have not experienced this, but C4 and Four to me in general seems uber low quality.

Much worse than the usual low quality.

Looked like a compression error to me.

I am slowly transitioning my viewing to Blu-rays for the quality.

But this was something wrong. Just curious if it was just as bad via freeview?

Yup. Still a problem for me. And a real pain the the proverbial. I read somewhere that it only happened if you tried to go past 30x but I've experienced it when fast-forwarding at lower speeds. Worst thing is that when it crashes it doesn't remember where you are up to. Took me well over an hour to get though a 30 minute show. Had to keep exiting out of playback to save where I got up to. Felt like I was playing an old video game!

Sky have switched FOUR to the freeview feed which has been impacted by the additional of regional versions of TV3.

I watched Glee off Four from the other night and the quality on the satellite feed really was dreadful.

As soon as they moved glee from 3 to 4 i stopped watching it.

Music and video heaps better in dobly digital and HD.

If they keep delivering crap quality picture etc, i source my content from else where.

I guess people will watch what evers on, but if most people stopped watching they'd have to change their ways.
