Hi
I have Mysky hd connected via component cables, however it is only coming through as 576i compared to 1080i using an hdmi cable on the HD channels. I though that 1080i was supported using component input.
Cheers
Richard

tkr001: As I said its because of HDCP although I believe (not tested myself) that if you hdmi connect to a hdcp capable device and the handshake is successful them component isnt downscaled.

grant_k:ZollyMonsta: The networks and studios won't allow HD over component. That's the reason for the above noted differences between channels.
And yet another reason for not having a Freeview-approved or Sky-approved receiver, as then you can use HD over component whenever you wish

old3eyes: It's getting rather hard to get non FV DTT receivers these days apart from one or two DVRs. All STBs I've looked at are FV certified (crippled.) In the sat world it's quite different but there is no FV HD via SAT. Sky sees to that..
