I don't really have a question, only a couple of 'first world problems' I've noticed with MySky and Sky App and thought I'd share, in case there are cures on the way...

- when searching All programmes in guide using remote control (A-Z), it does not always find all the programmes that can be found online.

- when booking a programme online or using Sky app, it multiple MySky recorders all have the same name. It would be nice if there was an online account where each recorder could be given its own name that would then show up in decoder selection stage.

- when using the remote control, you can start recording a show even if it has started, but in trying to do the same with Sky app, I get a message saying 'success' only to later discover the recording failed.

- series linking has never worked with online/app-booked programmes, and many times it is not working with regular-booked programmes either, even though there are subsequent episodes available.

Other than that I love MySky (and the Sky app) - it has really revolutionised my TV watching and time management. That's all. Thanks and Happy New Year to you all!

Cool

Go to www.Skytv.co.nz

Sign in using your user name and password.

Then look around in there, you can give each decoder it's on name, I've got seperate names for my two decoders.

You can't do it from the application, have to do it through web page login to name them.

Series link it doesn't support.

When using search it only goes up to one week ahead, i've always had programs i've searched for come up, so haven't noticed that it doesn't find everything.

I find it great to.

Hope was able to be of some help.

Have re read your post, yep, the search function on the decoder itself is rubbish, i always use the applic.

Sometimes a program might be on more then once a week with the other screenings being repeats, you need to find the one that's on first in the week as i think series link won't show up on the repeat shows.

Never remote record a show that's already started as it won't work. Pretty bad that it says, sent success, when it won't work.

It's rare but i've had series link crap out on me where it finds no future series links. I turn the power off to the decoder then on, then after 5 10 minutes it finds the ones it didn't find before and starts working again. It use to do it every three months, but only did it twice last year, got told when enquried that decoder can lose access to one of tuners or something.

The new mysky box is the plus one, and it's never failed on series link yet. Sometimes they get the series link codes wrong and this can cause program not to record one week, then when they get it right it'll get the following weeks, found that happened more often in early days, they seem to be more on top of it now.
