Hi there,

We are having this strange problem with our Mysky HDI box, where during live sports games (could be others too) we can't take the live recording back (Rewind it) It just sits on Pause.

My father is very into sports, and sometimes he would like to rewind a live sports match for various reasons, and it doesn't work.

His exact words were somewhere along the lines of "this is BS, I pay for this for this very reason"

If this is a firmware update, and the result is intentional then we will not be happy, and we will consider terminating all Sky services, because that was a feature that we enjoyed using till it stopped working, and what's the point in paying so much extra per month, if it doesn't bloody work?

Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this.

Thanks

What did Sky say when you contacted them about it?

Hi sounds to me like a genuine issue with your machine as its all good here on all channels including sports. Have you contacted sky.

Also live pause and rewind is an advertised key feature, why would they remove it?

Mine sometimes hangs like that. A couple of ways I have fixed it in the past.

1. Stop the rewind and press the play button. Retry the rewind. This mostly works.
2. Completely power down the mysky. Probably really bad for it but I just pull the power out.

Cheers.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I prefer to record stuff rather than use live pause, even if I am watching it live. If you live pause but the switch channels by accident or on purpose you lose your entire buffer, but if you are recording it you don't. Much better that way. Does your problem happen with only live pause or also with watching stuff you are recording live?

Had the same issue, ended up getting the decoder replaced. HDD shat itself.
