Admittedly, you have to sign up as a NOW TV subscriber, but this sounds like a step in the right direction. I wonder if Sky NZ might try this one day?

That in NZ terms costs you approx $20 a day to watch SKY. Not cheap but for some one who may be out of town etc a good deal I suppose. The only problem in NZ would be the issue of speed and the picture flicking from HD to SD and back all the time as the download speed changes.

They only do that because they have been regulated and forced to wholesale sky sports to otherrpviders, so the cannibalisation risk to them is a lot smaller than if sky NZ did the same thing.
