Got another flyer in the post with the usual deal of Sky Basic + 2x Premium channels free for 12 months.

Code: 6971

I'm surprised to see that they now allow you to get this deal online: http://www.skytv.co.nz/direct

I take it this is for new subscribers only?

How can we force them to give it to existing customers as well?

Almost tempted with the V8SC coverage gone from TV3. Doesn't apply to MySky though, so therefore no HD option?

Edit- followed link. To get MySky + HD is another $25/month, with a $25 joining fee.

You can't, and why should you be able to?

I can confirm you can get MySky with this.  I just signed up on the deal (start of the month).  You sub one of the premium channels out.  I went with Sport and MySky, all for 46.21 (i think) a month.

Pretty sweet deal to be honest.

Sorry - just to clarify, that's MySky HDI without the HD ticket.

Still can't believe companies find it OK to charge a joining fee.

If not happy with current prices, you just ring up and cancel all your services. Then if three months plus gone by, you are set up for when they offer deal with no subscription in last 3 months term.

If can't go without, then stuck with current prices paying.

... Or get your significant other to sign up with the deal, and cancel your subscription.
