To make way for future content, like Jones! coming soon to channel 13, some of SKYs channels are moving to new numbers on May 1st. SKY Sport Highlights will also become SKY Sport 4, as it will carry live coverage as well as the highlights you’ve come to expect. It will also be available in HD for MY SKY customers with the HD Access Ticket. During the move SKY Sport Mosaic will be out of action for a few days.

Seems a bit better and I'm pleased they've grouped channels together more and moved more further down the number list, but think they could have done more of that, ie: put the +1s in the 20 range etc.

because it's sports that the majority of people have Sky HD for.

it's a shame that Four isn't going to be moved to number 4 in the list.

Even though it's been there a while, it still feels weird for Four to be 12.

Oh, and I suppose a few of the channels will have a new name/logo after the move too - particularly those like music channel 63 and Country99TV.

Thanks for this. Mildly annoying for me as my IR blaster doesn't always play nicely with 3 digit channels, which there are now more of

So what did they do last time the channel numbers were rearranged with respect to series link? I am away overseas for the last two weeks of April and first week of May and I am relying on MySky to record some shows. If they don't transfer to the new numbers, I will need to get on the Sky app while I'm away and remote record them. A bit of a PITA while on holiday.

+1 to renumbering so that FOUR is on 004. Just move Prime to 005 and shuffle the others up one.

There must be order in the Universe (Sky)!

I would think there will be no affect... since the change is just the channel number. No other changes happening.

The so called home of motor sport, yet they are not even showing the Moto GP :(

+1 for Nat Geo and Discovery in HD.

Have you ever contacted Sky and inquired about the likeliness of Disco being in HD?
If you have, what did they say?

After reading this I've just sent a query off to them about the chances of disco moving to HD, time will tell if I get a reply and what they say.

They can't do Discovery and Nat Geo in HD as they want their SD feed and HD feeds to match up with the same content. That is their reason.
