Can anyone tell me why whenever the All Blacks are playing, iSKY suddenly goes down? Only the channel the All Blacks are playing on mind you, the others work fine. Can anyone also tell me why on the iSKY facebook page they are happy to address any issues people are having with the iSKY service except this one?

It happens with every big event. I will put money on it going down if there is a home final with an NZ team in Super Rugby this year. I think it is due to the fact that the subscriptions are set too low (sarcasm.....)

I echo this... I was watching the test the other night when the stream went down and I couldn't reconnect... I ended up watching a dodgy feed from overseas and it worked perfectly.

PERHAPS this will improve later this month when they move to Akamai for their CDN, but I would love to get a statement from Sky about this.

I would like to see a statement too. The silence is just making it look more and more dodgy. If it is a licensing issue, then just say so, there is no need to clam up on this one issue.

Also had this problem, ended up watching some other on line feed of the sky coverage, found it amusing to watch it on some illegal dodgey streaming service because the legit one doesn't work.

I even went to the effort of Filling out an online contact us form, wonder if I will hear anything back.

I beleive that isky is still technically in beta, despite being around for several years.

I don't think they have ever officially launched it and being in beta provides a convenient excuse and lack of accountability to the consumer godos act when it fails so often.

Nope. It happens everytime there is a big event on. Perhaps the switch to the content provider is to fix the problems. It would be good if Sky stated that. Everyone would be much happier.

just called Sky , following up the job i logged on the weekend ,
Sky's reply: check with your Internet provider if they had problems...
Hehe trying to make it a 3rd party problem (my problem)

I'm with Telecom, all other web sites were fine , i'm am assuming all you guys are with other providers and experienced the same problems at previous All Blacks game times

+1, I've actually only ever noticed an issue with the All Blacks games, which could either be due to volume of demand, or an issue with them broadcasting this particular content in this way...

Seriously? This was there response? Add me to the list, im with Snap and the feed died part way through the second half. It was definitely a Sky problem, passing the buck sounds about right for them.
Hoping the CDN change will resolve these issues in the future.

I just phoned and asked them what the issue was and they said that the ISPs had problems with the "uploading of the game - just the Skysport 1 channel" and that it affected "Telecom, Vodafone, Snap and some others"... They said they had resolved it with the ISPs.

At that point I asked for a Telecom reference to see what the 'fault' was from our end and while they promised to get back to me I doubt I'll hear anything :-)

i couldn't logon to isky with my credential full-stop , it accepted my credentials but still showed me as not logged in
Therefor i could watch any isky content

i could logon to the Sky website with my credentials , and when i chose iSKY i got a new window showing me not logged in
