Hi there,

Really basic question sorry! I have a HD Mysky box connected to my main TV via HDMI. What I want to do is :

Watch a 'mirror' of the main TV in another room.
Don't need to change the channel from the other room
I have a coax cable (see attached short black cable) running through the wall to the other room.

I had a spare red / white / yellow RCA to scart connector and I tested this from the back of the Sky box to the additional TV, and confirm it sucessfully mirrors the picture from the skybox (ie HDMI cable and this connector play the same picture simultaniously).

What is the best way to connect the skybox (or TV? - it's a panny TH-P55VT50) to this coax cable in the wall so that the TV in the other room can have a mirror picture?

Related question, but for other geekzone users:

Does mysky have an hdmi output?
Or does it do HD out on component?

Forgot to mention - I dont need to have HD in the second room (it's only kids channels!).

Simplest method would be get Sky to install an rf modulator and pug in to the short black cable. Doesn't cost much but gives worst possible picture.
As the SCART to RCA give simultaneaous output I would run 3 more A/V cables to the other room and plug them into the TV for a reasonable picture.
Best method would be to use a HDMI splitter and run second HDMI cable to the other room.

I've got the sky solution at home - basically in the bedroom we can watch whatever is on the decoder in the lounge - but the picture is below SD quality.

Doesn't bother us overly as it's really only used to watch the odd movie in bed if we are close to nodding off anyway...

And if you want to be really cheap and aren't worried about quality you can use an old VCR as a modulator.
