Forgive me if it's been posted elsewhere but I've just noticed on Sky Channel 90 that from Sept. 1 we are gonna be getting Al Jazeera.

Now I don't know if was here or at Throng but when approached Sky has always said it was something they weren't interested in getting so I wonder why they've changed their tune now.

I remember asking Sky 4 years so if they were going to add Al Jazera when they forced Fox News on us.

They said there wasn't any demand for it. I asked if there was an demand for Fox News before they introduced it and they didn't reply.

I think it will interting to see another view point.

Sky is now way over-subscribed for news and doco channels. Sometimes you just want to be entertained, but the channels that do that (excluding the FTA channels) can be counted on one hand. It's an expensive, miserable product.

Could be that Sky decided to move when they heard Al Jazeera was going to FreeView.
