I always turn the Mysky decoder off (put it in standby) whenever I'm not using it, but in the last couple days I've noticed when I've left the room for something I come back to it off and the TV still on. Now unless the girlfriend is turning it off to mess with my head, I can't understand how it could be happening.

It's well ventilated and doesn't seem hot. I have my Orcon genius modem in the same room and thought maybe the wireless is doing it, but I've had that for 12 months and not had a problem until now.

It's definitely some of of interference somewhere causing it, maybe the neighbors.

Unless you have any constructive answers, why bother posting stupid comments?

just a bit of fun to brighten up your day

ETA: in all seriousness it's probably just on it's last legs. Phone sky and they will swap it out. you will lose all your recorded stuff though.

Have you checked the Energy Saving settings eg on "Low" if you haven't changed channel etc for 90 min and it is between 11pm - 5am & 10am - 5pm the MySky HDi bow will go into standby.

Cheers,

That seems to be it, I'm still not sure how the settings changed though.

Although this energy saving has been around for awhile my mysky was not turning off. Until recently. I had the same kind of reaction as you and can only assume that some update along the way triggered the energy saving feature. I had a few anxious moments until I discovered it was supposed to do that when it hadn't previously been turning off.
