If IGLOO was to say cease in operation. Would it make the STB useless even for just watching Freeview channels?

Why would SkyTv and TVNZ, the owners of Igloo do that?

Sky would lose the UHF license(s) and perhaps open themselves up to competition from a new DTT broadcaster. They say in a press release I read that they are backing UFB and are relinquishing some of the analogue UHF frequencies they have.
