Do we know if iSky will become 720p HD anytime soon? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to have it.

Given their current low-res video has trouble streaming sometimes I doubt we'll see HD iSky anytime soon!

Why would they produce HD online, when a lot of their subscribers are still seeing SD through composite & RF connections?

I guess they could say only with the HD ticket & MySky.

Have you tried to use it to watch a major sport even like an All Blacks test? Very hit and miss...

Yes. I always watch the All Blacks on iSky. I have never had any problems.

Exactly. I have the HD Access Ticket and I am frequently away from my decoder.

I envy you! I get maybe a 20% hit rate with being able to watch an entire game without it falling over. The iSky Facebook page is always filled with comments about people experiencing the same thing. Unfortunately, with iSky there are 3 main factors:
1. iSky CDN
2. Your ISP
3. Your actual internet connection

If just one of those isn't up to snuff (potentially my ISP!) then iSky isn't a reliable service... Well not for me at least.

Sky's next goal is iSky on mobile devices.
Maybe then they will work on reliability.
Then we might see HD content after that. Or they will skip the reliability part and we'll watch a HD slideshow during any significant programming.

They have fixed this. If you are still having issues it's likely to be your ISP. Yes, it used to be catastrophically bad, with any popular event killing the channel it was on.

Huge changes were made. Give it another go before slagging it off... It's no longer likely to be a Sky problem if you have issues.

The platform could actually handle HD quite easily now, but what's the point in offering that for Sky? It's not like they get any extra revenue out of it - and they are pretty keen on nickel and diming people on HD.

Cheers - N

I watched the Breakers game last nite. Still tons of macroblocking . The netball before that was even worse..
