Just a quick thanks for the Skygo App - it enabled me to follow the enjoyable summer of cricket no matter where I was and it certainly made me appreciate the work that you've put into it.

You'd be one of the few that have enjoyed the experience.

I've found it to be half-baked, patchy at best and almost unusable most of the time.

Yes. And the 2 device limit.... Don't get me started....

Sure it has it's issues from time to time - but in general I'm satisfied in that I don't have to get a second subscription to watch sport when the family doesn't, that I'm mobile with it and can watch it pretty much anyway that the internet will work.

I'm sure that in time the app will be developed further to bring more reliability but one must remember that it is only ever going to be as good as the signal carrying it.

I have only used it on an iPad, only had one concurrency error. Works great. For those having a quick test, it will start playing straight away, but pixellated, give it 2 seconds, sometimes up to 5 seconds and it will sharpen up. Better that way than waiting on a blank screen for it to buffer. But that could throw some users off if they went ARRGH then turned it off before the resolution sorted itself out

One would think Cricket (one day & Test) is not the best sport to watch on a mobile device given their length. Must drain your tablet/phone batteries to watch any decent amount -unless you keep it plugged in to charge.

I'm very serious. Apart from the odd concurrency issue I have no very few gripes with it. It's fast, crystal clear and when I'm at home I watch it on HQ, when out I watch it on LQ (which is still very good).

Most of the concurrency issues are of my own doing where the iPhone jumps between different Access points in my home.

Personally, I think it is a great FREE add on product to the subscription. Bare in mind that up until this app was released if I wanted to watch an alternate channel to the family I would have required a second room subscription.

The only issue I have with it is that using a chrome browser sometime it will freeze frame with the audio still going. Have to reboot the PC to get it going again. Seems OK with FireFox. One thing you have to do is logout before you reboot otherwize it says you have reached your maximum number of devices

Probably worth having a makeshift poll as there are varying means to acess SkyGo, and focus on the methods. Hard for all of us to try it out on a few of our devices as only 2 active devices allowed.

For me

iPad Air, iOS app is very good

EDIT: Added iPad model in case that makes a difference

just a quick question does anyone know how much data the app uses for say a 80 minute rugby match via 3g?

Mobile data use will fluctuate based on the quality of your internet connection and varies from 160 MB per hour for the lowest connection speed up to 700 MB per hour for the highest quality video stream. Mobile data use also depends on the video quality setting that you choose in the App and whether you are connected to Wi-Fi or 3G.

We estimate the following mobile data use when streaming audio-video through the SKY GO App:
