Hi there -

I have recently moved house from a flatting situation into an apartment complex. I have brought with me my older model Motorola sky box and plugged it in (as I have done successfully at a number of properties in the past) and all I can manage to get is a rain fade message. The sky box is an extra decoder linked to my parents account - therefore I am hesitant to call sky as I am sure they would not be that happy about the arrangement.

I have done some research and attempted to change the LNB settings but I am not sure whether what I am doing is correct. Also I am confused which satellite setting I should be on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would assume that the apartment satelite dish is using an LNB on 11.30ghz

Using your sky remote and press active then setup, whilst on the "Atmospheric Conditions" screen
Go to System Settings
Press 0 7 5 9 then Select on your remote - this should take you to a "secret" menu
Go to LNB Setup
The High Band LO Frequency (GHZ) will probably be set to 10.75.
Change it to 11.30
Select Save New Settings
Press the SKY button on the remote and wait a few seconds, hopefully it'll work.

You don't need to change any other settings other than the LNB LO frequency

I have sky digital and can access the settings menu by entering my pin - does the advice above still apply? or is it a different process?
