From the Sky Sports NZ Website:

Ever wondered what it’s like whip off a tyre in a Formula One pit stop? Or how it feels to ignore team radio orders and overtake your racing partner? Well ponder no more petrolheads as SKY Sport and SKY GO are including additional pop-up channels for the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix this year. For no additional cost, SKY Sport domestic customers can access pop-up channel SKY Sport 5, which includes pit lane coverage and team radio audio for all practice sessions, qualifying and the Grand Prix race for the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix. SKY GO customers get extra-special treatment, with access to an exclusive on-line pop-up channel, SKY Sport 6, which will screen in-car camera footage for both the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix. This means SKY Sport domestic customers can watch all the Formula One action on the big screen, while simultaneously watching in-car camera footage on any iPad, iPhone or laptop with SKY GO. SKY Sport domestic subscribers must be registered with SKY GO to be able to view SKY Sport 6. www.skygo.co.nz Broadcast Details: Pop-up channels SKY Sport 5 & 6 Australian Grand Prix

Nice,

Wonder how many people will have 3 TVs, 2 decoders and an Airplay device so they can watch all three channels at once.
Like mission control for petrolheads.

My guess would be to make the Sports Mosaic into the F1 Mosaic. That would make sense.

Woo! This sounds very cool indeed!
Will have to steal the kids iPad back to run the Live Timing app, watch in car etc on my iPad and the main race on the big tv. Very very cool!

Sounds similar to the Sky UK model wonder if it will have the Sky UK commentary?

I wouldn't ever want to miss the main coverage and commentary as you could miss something important.
The only way I would use this if I was keen enough would be to grab the extra decoder & TV from the bedroom and set it up beside the main TV in the lounge, then put the PC and monitor beside those for the in car views. That would be impressive for an F1 party.

Glad to see this is back again this year.  Annoying they're making SS6 a SkyGo only channel though, why can't they just have it as a normal channel, even in SD??  I enjoy the in car feed more than the pit lane one anyway.
