Can anyone confirm for me if it is possible to remove a channel package using your remote? I have Sky through Vodafone and Vodafone says I can and refers me to Sky's Website. Sky refered me back to Vodafone as I am a VF customer. I ask as I am peeved with VF as it took 4 days to remove my Channels when contacting them and they argue that I have to pay for them. I am Considering taking this matter further maybe the commerce commission.
Agreed my case does look rather thin, but if you consider how easy it is to add services compared to removing them, it is by 'elected design' on the part of the vendors that I am having these issues at my cost. Whats the average wait time 'on hold' when ringing Sky or VF?.
I ranh them up, waited about 3 minutes to get answered (this can vary) told the guy wanted to stop a channel, he asked when from and he did it straight away. No having to finish the current billing period just when want to stop.
You however can't stop a channel within one month of starting it so if you started 1 March would have to keep to 31st March but any dat after that can stop.
Last couple of calls to VF been about 25 min so I very much try to avoid ringing them. I may have to add sports for a month with the World Cup in June assuming they have the rights tied up?, will see if I can remove by ringing Sky next time.
