I'm just about to head away so I don't have time to call, nor am I in a rush hence this thread...

I'm going to call and cancel Sky completely, but when does the service stop? Is it as soon as you call, within 24 hours, the end of the billing month, etc etc?

I did this last night, you have to give 28 days notice, then you have seven days to return the gear

slightly off topic - I would be interested to know what is happening with Sky, whether they are increasing their subscriber base, treading water or losing ground.

Thanks for this. So you still have Sky for 28 days after you call and cancel?

I think so, so it would be best to call the day your next billing cycle starts - then you are not charged for another month (don't know if Sky does pro-rata billing for your last month?)

yes, I think it was Wednesday night I rang, the lady at Sky told me it would disconnected on April 8th, and since that is 4 days after my billing cycle I will get billed for those 4 days

They do release their numbers, not sure if it's quarterly or yearly

We don't have a contract. Mother-in-law worked for Sky for 15 years so everything was free.
