Hi all

Trying to find out if I can copy to a USB stick movies
that have been recorded from MYSKY into TV. Disc space
keeps getting full so thought I could put them on USB.

Short answer. No.

Long answer. As far as I know the USB, eSATA and network ports of the MySky are disabled under the current firmware. Even if they weren't I would find it very unlikely that Sky would allow it to be done.

When I had MYSKY I would connect a DVD recorder to the composite plugs on mysky box, press play on mysky box on the prorgram you wanted and record on dvd recorder, walk away till finished, as its done in real time.

Can only be done in real time. Better to record to your PC's HDD rather than a USB. Use a video capture card and set to record overnight.

You are stuck with transferring in real time.

If you are happy with SD, you can use either a DVD recorder or a PC-based solution.

If you want HD, you have to use a PC-based solution, which would have to include video capture hardware that can cope with an HD signal as well as some non-standard hardware to deal with the copy protection (HDCP) I understand Sky applies to HD output (Disclaimer: I don't personally have a MySky).
