Lightbox should seriously consider a free version where they put in adverts every 10min
Demographics can be easy determined by lightbox user and show the user is watching

Lightbox: While we're not ruling out any other business models in the future, for now we're pretty excited about just providing great TV with no ads.
You rarely hear people requesting more ads these days.

attewell: I suppose with adverts.. it allows you to get mass penetration of light box to more of NZ...
Also.. for advertisers.. they can rat get demographics of people that watch say Mad Men, regardless of the time of day they watch it..
So where as your restricted to 8pm or later for adult adverts.. you could target adverts for mad men, as the audience is normally adult..
Same for Childrens programs.. you can target regardless of time.. but to content being watched
richms: That is how hulu works in the states, and you cant argue that they are not sucessful.
