Does MySky HDi involve any internet usage (streaming on demand etc.)? I remember it had an ethernet port on it, but last time I checked it was redundant.

Sky is reportedly working on a service that would use the ethernet port for on demand services. Which would involve internet usage. Your box today won't do anything over the net, as far as I know.
