Tentative looking forward to it. The devil will be, as they say, in the detail (range of content, does it interrupt the programming every seven minutes for shouty ads like the Box etc). I'm hoping it won't be ad-saturated, in which case it would be of no interest to me......

I see reports that an HD & SD "The Zone" channel have appeared on Optus D1, been there for about a week.

I wonder when Sky will load it onto their decoders?

They usually have a new channel up for a wee while running just a promo loop before the launch date. That will give everyone a feel for what it'll be like (Station idents, upcoming shows etc)

There are 2 feeds one HD and one SD. I BET you still will need the HD ticket otherwise you will only get the sd version.

Who would take that bet when their release already says you need the HD ticket...?

The Zone channel is on looping adverts at the moment & it does say

"To view the zone in HD you must have an HD TV, The HD access ticket & either mysky HDi or mysky+"

Will be interested to see what new content it brings... might actually watch Sky again if it's good!

Helix,
Dusk to dawn,
Defiance

Above from the promo loop on channel 16 says premier for those programs.

Box set weekends and movies are on it to. Will be interested to see if the Star Treks and some other old ones are in HD, if so might watch them again.

I don't think I'll be changing channel much :)

If the content isn't available in binge-watch 'on-demand' format in HD then I'm not intereted.

If the Zone wants to determine when I watch TV, they can get farked.  I'll stick to Lightbox, Netflix, or TPB

I just record/series link anything I might want to watch on MySky+ , then I can watch it anytime I like. Nobody determines when I watch it but me.

I agree with you Clevedon. This is my exact approach also.
