Just saw an NZ Herald article (this one) that claims that Lightbox has secured CBS rights.

The article seems poorly written because it talks about the Mediaworks/TV3 deal which was strictly first-run + OnDemand, and no mention of the Sky (Prime) deal.

Anyone in the know:  Is this first-run content or is it just after-the-fact streaming of already aired content?

Here is the press release:

Lightbox CEO Kym Niblock confirmed today that Lightbox has signed deals with CBS Studios International, Moon Media and Top Shelf Productions with TV shows and documentaries from all three to arrive on the service in the coming weeks.

“Life is too short for bad TV so we’re always on the look-out for compelling TV shows, Niblock says. “Lightbox puts customers in control: now they can kick back and relax with some great on-demand TV series including Californication and Dexter®, have a few laughs with comedian Leigh Hart or learn about New Zealand’s rich history through locally produced documentaries.”

New content from CBS Studios International coming to Lightbox includes the SHOWTIME® original series Californication, Dexter and Nurse Jackie. Also included are fan favourites Oz and the original Twin Peaks. All CBSSI series can be viewed from the very beginning and ad-free.

Local additions include the Moon TV series, brought to you by Leigh (“That Guy”) Hart, Cool Kids Cooking, Aunty Moves In and three New Zealand documentaries – Saving Face, A Gallery Without Walls and A Wing and a Prayer.

I didn't publish because... I thought unnecessary to publish every time a studio sign up.

Thanks (and yeah, no problem) sounds like it's just a streaming deal on that and NZ Herald just trying to confuse everyone.
